Size of Table Insert Screws

Post by onetrack »

Can someone help me out? I am at work, and do not have access to my SS 510 right now.

What size are the two Flat Head Cap Screws that are used to hold the Table Insert? Are they 1/4-20 x 1/2 LG ? (That is just my guess.) They are Item 137 in the parts diagram, SS part number 501637.

Thanks for the help!

They are 1/4" x 20 and 1/2" overall length. They also have the "standard" Shopsmith 5/32" allen head.

Longer will work because they screw into an open space beneath the table.

Wouldn't it be neat if the Shopsmith parts list included common size indicators along with the part number. Some of us are able to look at a part and know its description. I am not one of those.

Back in pre-Shopsmith Inc. days the lists did so!

FWIW they are 1/4-20 x 1/2" flatheaded screws with a 5/32" hex socket.
