how do I tell how old is my shopsmith?

I'll try to post a picture of my 10ER label. But there is nothing stamped in but the number.

Seven days without turning makes one weak. :o

Tornado Dust Collection System,Shop Wide Overhead Vac piping,WC slow-speed grinder,Wolverine sharp. system,Grizzly GO580 14" Bandsaw,Rikon Disk/Belt sander,HF Pressure Pot, JB 7 CFM Vac pump,TurnTex Stabilizing Chamber. (My 16' X 20' shop is full to the gills)

OK so it says 10ER to the right. It also has the SN higher towards the middle.


I am not sure, but I think(a lot of conjecture rather than knowledge) that indicates a late production Model 10. So 1952 is still a good estimate.

Thanks JPG. Like I said I had no idea if the manual I got with the lathe was really the correct one. Thanks again. It's nice to know what year it was made, pretty old aren't they?
It's actually one year older than I am. lol
