Hi folks,
My old 10 gallon shop vac died. I have a bigger, better, badder one so it is time for good by or repurpose.
I think I saw something on coverting one into a seperator for a shop vac. Any links or ideas?

I tried with an old dead one and it just didn't work for me.
It's worth a try though.

I tried to use the container like a 'dust deputy' also. The inlet just did not lend itself to that working, but it does work as a large particle pre-separator.
I intend to modify it in the hopes of improving it.
I think it is worth the effort to try.
Even 'as is' it slows down the filling up of the DC bag and is way easier to empty.
I removed the defunct motor etc and replaced it with a circular plate with a 2" +- hole. Turned the hole with a slight taper for a snug hose fit.
In any event, the 'barrel' with casters is not something I would just discard.
