I agree if trying to 'fix'. At this point we be trying to isolate.

I'll be troubleshooting it on Friday when I have more time. At the moment, (after doing a lube and putting it in Drill press mode overnight, it seems to have stopped the noise.

Ah!!! A little oil in the right places does wonders!!!:D

I just used some Kano Kroil on mine and it spins like a top. And here I was afeard I'd have to replace that whole assembly.
