Can't make it too easy.....if we're dumb enough to break the glass, we need to experience a little difficulty/pain doing the repair:rolleyes:

Your suggestion would, however, reduce the pain of repair a bit. Something else just dawned on me.....If the glass is busted, a pair of thin blade 'duck billed' pliers could be used to pull the strips up after clearing the debris out of the kerf where the glass sits.
