Here is what you need to make your own under mount storage (and to help keep the stuff clean too!)

Here are my solutions
#1 I designed this setup some years ago. The table extension tubes are attached to the wall using metal broom handle clips available at most Ace HD or Lowes.

#2 is for small parts such as the drill chuck and the lathe drive centers etc. The pill bottles are virtually hermetically sealed and I have never had anything rust in them.

This is my version of storage for the many Shopsmith parts I find handy. The first time this was posted one member was a bit critical of it being 6 1/2 feet tall, skinny and seeming top heavy. Please note the bottom drawer is deep and holds heavy ballast like items. On one side resides my vac and dust collector tree. This is virtually the only way I have ever found to store them. On the other side my extra saw blades and sanding disks reside. Yes it is on wheels which allow movement all over the shop with ease. Yes it is highly stable. Jim

Here and here are pictures of part of my storage solution. With the accumulation of accessories, I am forced to supplement this with other storage locations.

Wow, lots of great ideas! At this point I'm leaning toward some variation of the "Under the Mark V Cabinet" - given my relatively small shop, this is a great space saver.

Hi Bill, Nice system. I think this would work for my shop. Any information on the support brackets? It appears some dimension lumber with plywood angle brackets? Right now I roll my jointer on a Harbor Freight cart. I had not figured out what to do with the bandsaw. Great idea.

The shelf for the SPT's is made from 2X6 lumber planed and edge jointed and glued together. The shelf brackets are made from left over MDF fastened together as an "L" and 45 deg supports.
The floating tables are held with large hooks that pass between the table and the extruded rails. When I used this system when my SS was 510 the sliding tables could be held with the same broom handle clips that hold the tubes. Just make sure that the plywood is held securely to the studs so it does not flex. That would cause the shelves to pop off the plywood.
I use the SS mounting feet to hold the SPT's but a 2X4 drilled with the appropriate sized holes and screwed to the main shalf would work just as well.

Thanks for the kind comments Bill..and I apologize for the delay in responding. Life has gotten in the way of my hobby again...man, I hat when it does that!:D

I can't take all the credit for the idea though. The concept started as the standard under as storage cart that hung from the way tubes, but I didn't want that kind of weight hanging there. Then another user on this forum named Cory (CCMAYDEW) shared his design. Like mine, his was designed to hold all of his SPTs. They all fit on the flat platform behind the ss.

I designed this cabinet to grow with my needs...so if I add SPTs along the way I can add them...I've had it for the better part of 9 months so far and it has served me well.

I'd be happy to take some inside shots if anyone is interested
