You can see in the photo I posted at the beginning of this thread (Post #3) that I have mine on the lower saw guard.

It fits tight and I had to work it into place by sorta screwing it on but I would not say that it was difficult and it certainly fits. I bought a clamp thinking I would need one to hold it but I do not.

I am really pleased with this hose as an addition to the lower saw guard. It does not interfere with the table post like the elbow and hose did. I can slide the carriage back and forth with ease, even with the hose connected. It totally eliminates what has always been a minor frustration to me.

Oh! That reminds me! Meant to post these pix last week.

The Woodcraft hose 'on sale' is likely the cheaper one, not the one Dusty got.

I got one anyway.

I have the hose only (without the end connectors) mounted on my lower saw guard. Is that maybe why they don't fit the same.

Yours is definitely a different hose.

Yours is definitely a different hose.

It came with the swivel connectors loose in de box(they are removable).

IIRC there was a $2 difference in 'normal' price.

You came up with a good solution with the use of the flex hose. I'm wondering if you have a dust collection strategy when in drill press mode. The flex hose seems like a good solution there, but the clamping to the table leaves me at a loss. The SS parts seem expensive for what you get.

I don't think that it can be considered a solution and it certainly cannot be called good.

No. At the drill press, I just sweep it off onto the floor and pick it up later.
