Envision this....fabricate a sand blast type cabinet from plexiglass that will encompass the chuck , turning, tool rest, and tailstock. A collection hose located at a tapered bottom. Plexiglass will provide plenty of light on the subject, the whole top can be hinged to remove and setup the turning, change lathe tools, etc.

The gloves would need to have plenty of freedom of movement.

Would take some inventive designing for sure.

Add a windshield wiper on the inside!
