I recently repainted the legs on my MKV and applied several coats of spray-on truck bed liner to the feet primarily for abrasion protection/rust prevention, but it does provide noise and vibration dampening as well.

What a great idea. How high did you come up the feet?

Vibration/noise

I did sort of the same thing. I had some left over pad from some laminate flooring I had installed - it's a rubber pad about 1/16 inch thick. I cut out four L shaped pieces and clued them to the bottom of my frame - using super glue - works great. :p

Great ideas here, I might try that truck bed coating on the inside of the SS sheet metal. If someone really wants to cut the noise I bet something like this would really do the trick http://www.amazon.com/Heat-Shield-Mat-Automotive-Installation/dp/B00BF2940E/ref=sr_1_9?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1373217076&sr=1-9&keywords=Sound+Deadening+Mat .
