Here is my use of an old 500 table. I can use all of my fences on it.

Now if I can modify it so it fits on my new MK7, i'd be even happier...

The posts should fit! What else will need modification? If it worked with 500 fences before, it still will.;)

Hi Steve,
I have a 500 that I was going to part out this spring, but keep the table to make a router table. Now I think I'll use the proceeds from the parts to buy a 510 table. Had thought about grinding enough off the bottom of the table to allow the router base to set flush about 1/8" from the top. However, like everything I design in my head before I build, the final product will look nothing like the original!

Thanks for the pictures. They help with the thought process.

Be well,
Ben

I just uncover an area where I had stored a lot of Shopsmith parts many years ago. I found a four 510 tables, two with rails and but only one with trunnion along with several 510 fences. These tables will require a good cleaning as some corrosion has started to occur. Also a Mark VII frame and good looking lower tubes. If anyone just needs a 510 main table, please contact me off-line and I can send pictures.
