I have two G3 Nova's that I got from Shopsmith , easy to set up and use, like the geared head for tightening the jaws. To make my work easier one head has the pin jaws installed and the other the 50mm jaws plus I have a set of 75mm in case they're needed. Nova make a quality product !

I have and use a SuperNova2, but not on a Shopsmith. I just wanted to say this product is very well made. You may want to look on Teknatools web site to see if the Nova G3 chuck will be able to convert to quick change later using the Infinity kit. That will make jaw changes in less than 1 minute. I've used my SuperNova2 for 4 or 5 years now, have 5 sets of jaws. Are you aware there are adapters available to adapt other chuck brands to the 5/8" shopsmith drive?

Having used my Nova G3 that I purchased from SS when it was on sale for turning and sanding 90 bowls this year I can say it is a quality product. I have splattered wood sealer and polish all over it many times and it continues to work great.

The good thing about the Nova/Teknatool chucks is that all of their jaws are interchangeable. The new infinity system will work on the G3 (At least that is what I have read and heard).
The G3 in NOT specifically made for Shopsmith. What Teknatool does offer in the Shopsmith package is the nifty adapter designed for the SS spindle and the prices non SS are reasonable and competitive with other offerings (Once you factor in the need for the adapter)

FYI the Nova G3 is on sale for $149 ($80 off regular price) from Shopsmith right now:

This is a great deal IMO and definitely the way I went and would recommend someone go if they want to get a lathe chuck for their SS. Sale price good through January 2 at 11:59pm EST, so the magical narrow window of savings is open for a few days.

A few years ago Wood magazine did a review of several chucks and rated the Oneway Talon as the best of the lot and the G3 as a very close second and virtually equivalent to the Oneway Talon.
When comparing prices be aware that the SS sale G3 chuck comes with the proper SS adaptor. So you will have to factor that in when making the price comparison. It is not included with the sale from Woodcraft and other sales.
I have used my Talon and a PSI chuck and the difference is very apparent. The Talon is far superior in my opinion. Also the availability of accessories the G3 is better because some of the dealers such as Woodcraft seem to be pushing the Nova line at this time. One Way is in Canada and the export laws may be driving this decision.
When my son was down here we used both chucks (PSI and the Talon) to do some turning and he saw the difference and said he would save his pennies and probably get the Nova or the Oneway like mine. He never used a chuck before and that is the conclusion that he came to.
Take all this with a grain of salt, it is only my opinion.
