It appears someone has not discovered that the SS bandsaw differs. The wheels are not crowned. The back of all blades regardless of size ride at the same location on the wheel.

If you would care to elaborate on the 'subjects left out' I would be quite happy to fill in the gaps assuming I know how. If not there are others here who also are agreeable to sharing.

Understand the SS bandsaw is quite different. I already mentioned the major differences. Not realizing those differences gets one in trouble if following typical advice etc. Hence it is necessary to point those out when it becomes apparent one is not aware of them.

At times some of us get hilarious, but not when the previous paragraph becomes the subject.

I am curious at what you found to be hilarious a few posts back.

Sadly well intentioned suggestions by folks not familiar with the unique design of the SS bandsaw have caused great consternation and just plain mangling of them.

The video which started this thread is an example. It was not created with the SS bandsaw design in mind, but was intended for more 'typical' bandsaw owners.

It is quite understandable that your initial reaction was 'hilarious'. Understandable if one assumes ignorance.

I take quite seriously the need and responsibility to 'correct' those who do not 'understand'.
