Hm, this morning's coffee must have gone past it's "Best if used by" date.
Why was the cut stopped in the first place?
As in why not just continue cutting through?
And what tool is the interrupted cut line going to be used to complete the interrupted cut?
Why?
Or is this a drill in compensating for unchecked blade drift?

The morning coffee must have made you miss the point.

Single pencil 'dot' at the cut position.

With the dot on top, kiss the blade.

Flip workpiece back towards you and the saw blade mark serves as a guide line for MANUALLy feeding/directing the workpiece to make the final cut.

No 'drawn' lines.

No square or similar device.

Just pencil, scale(engineer speak for tape measure etc.) and the bandsaw.

Yes it does assume the table is square to the blade.


Gad this is so simple(elegantly so!) why we be making it unduly complicated. Simply accept it for what it is!!!;)

I think this is so simple it makes one think that there must be more to this then what they see.

I almost hate to do this..... but I will.

Now what would happen if you didn't want a 90 degree cut across the wood but wanted say a 45 instead? Hmmmmm if I could only think of a way to do that..... I wonder what would happen if I were to tilt the table at say 45 degrees???????????

You know what I want that angle to be 15 degrees, how would I do that?????
