I don't think it's for lawn aeration, but for cutting holes in the greens of a golf course.:D You know, the "gopher hole" the ball is supposed to land in?

My 'observation' of the holes being 'cut' involve a tool with handles resembling an auger (aka post hole digger). But it cuts a shallow hole and has a sleeve to hold the 'plug' so the plug can be placed in the 'old' hole.

Just had a talk with Carl, he sez a golf green hole is 4.25" diam. Tiger wishes it is a bid bigger after this past weekend tourney, just cant leave those blonds alone!!!!!!
