And, the 7 lift assist needs be disconnected to tilt left. I am sure much verbage was created as a diversion as he disconnected/connected the lift.
Not to be dissing the 7 or anything else, multi function does involve compromises. The more gizzy whitches are added, the more 'issues' crop up.

A while back Reible posted a thread on the problem of cutting a bevel on a wide workpiece using the floating table with the lift assist. The lift assist interferes with the table and headstock thus causing the end casting to interfere with the tilted table and extended floating table which limits the width of the workpiece. None of that happens without the lift assist.

No he did not mention the interference issue, but with all the discounts he was giving, it may have been the time to buy the lift. Can it be mounted on an ER ball buster???
