One additional feature is you get the digital version too. I'm not sure what the advantage of that is? I like many of their projects and having the dead tree version in the shop is great. I can note changes if I modify a dimension of design element.

The deed has been done. Now I'm in the waiting stage to see when they will have my copy to me. I guess they will also let me know how to get to the online version, some sort of passwd or code? I'm looking forward to it.

I guess I am a bit of a softie when it comes to magazines. I subscribe to several different ones, including Woodsmith, and always look forward to receiving latest issues. Don't always get the chance to read them as soon as they come in, but have always found time before the next issue arrives. Never throw any of them away, and YEP, my kids will probably cuss me out when I am gone.I am sure they will have no interest in looking at them. Well now that won't be my problem, will it! Have to also admit that I like the advertisements the magazines have in them.
Now if I were to do like Dusty and go to Barnes & Noble I would have to drive about 180 miles, as that is the closest one to me. But I do like that idea, just to far to go.

I'm a two year at a time and then stop subscriber. Too many repeats. A friend said the FWW had a large discussion regarding the same problems and lack of renewals.

I keep (or have to this point, kept) all my old issues and have purchased a few collections from others

I also have some select issues, like when a friend wanted to build a pool table (definitely NOT for the faint of heart!!), found the FWW issue on making a nice table.

I'm not one for faithfully following someone's plans. I do like the Shopnotes For jig ideas. I'll miss it but not enough to go with the Guild.

I will renew the one magazine that printed my letter to the Editor regarding the Mark7 for no other reason than that one. I appreciate their recognition of the advancement of Shopsmith.

I have FWW both print and virtual. I've often read the entire thing online days before the paper copy arrives. I really got the setup for their web site. For me, there a many interesting articles which never make it into print (kind of like Popular Woodworking).

When winter raises it nasty head, I will probably wish I had had the foresight to keep subscribing, however, while the weather cooperates it's time to play rather than read and dream.

My long term plan is to buy the past issues of most of the magazines in digital format, but there is something about the tactile that I like. I guess if I really want it, I'll send those pages to the printer.

I may go find the new Guild to see what it is like, though again I think I'd be happier with the digital files of all the back issues.

I DO get the yearly Tool Issue put out by FWW just because it helps with the drool and dream factor!!
