I didn't get any other tools out to try but I will update this post when I do. I really don't expect it to fit everything but if it fits most things I'd be happy. Of course not all of us have the same tool sets so if we all pool our informatin then the review would be a lot more useful for those seaking out infomation.

So today was a sanding day...... not one of my favorite things to do but you have to do it sometimes. First up were some flag parts that decided to stick together and had some quality issues with paint getting where I didn't want it.

I tried to use some scrap wood which I had not cut and it turned out the saw cuts were not as nice as I would have like them to be and the results were not up to my standards so I had to sand them all and will be starting over on the paint process. Well this is already more details then you need so lets get to the subject.

I set up using my hose/cord holder as seen here.
I was using a porter cable sander and it has a small port so I attached the small hose adapter to it.
It fit but did not feel very snug and while it didn't fall off in use I kept thinking that it would. So I grabbed a cable tie and snugged that it up with that. Would it have worked for the whole project without it?? I don't know but the cable tie seem to work fine.
I think the best I can do is call this questionable. It doesn't fit as snug as I'd like without the cable tie but then maybe that is more me then a real issue.

Good call on the wire tie. I used the larger connection with my DeWalt ROS and it kept falling off when the hose was stretched.

I like the idea of the kit, but I do wonder about the durability of the hose after removing and switching connectors many times. Not sure why they didn't decide to put a solid plastic connector on the hose instead of making you screw the connectors on the hose when you want to switch them out.

Today I hooked up the large end to my compact dewalt router and it works great. Picture is slightly out of focus, it was that sort of day.

Step one: Acquire a free program called IRFANVIEW.

Step two: Copy pix to the clipboard.

Step three: bring up irfanview.

Step four: Select EDIT mode.

Step five: select PASTE.

Step six: Select IMAGE mode.

Step seven: select SHARPEN.

There is no magic here. The original pix must contain sufficient detail to make this work. Sharpen essentially accentuates edges.

It may work more than once, but eventually noise will overtake things and make things worse. Fortunately irfanview has a reverse last action function. So once the noise becomes obvious, one can back up one step.

There are other very useful functions in irfanview.

Two more tools looked at today.

The saw boss was a very loose fit and I would have to say it is not a fit as it can and does pull off pretty easy. It seems to stay pretty well with the vacuum running but I didn't stress it that much. Petty well says the Porter Cable hose is a much better fit for the job and I have one so that is how that goes.
I was beginning to think that PC tools might not fit but along came the PC planner and it fit just fine. So this is good as this is one of the tools that kicks out a lot of chips and makes a mess without any collection. It comes with a bag but I'm a bit up in the air about that.
More tools as I try them out....

Today I gave my miter saw a go with the new hose. Worked really well.
