Hi Guys,
Although our shopsmith parts with their 55+ year history are wonderfully interchangeable there are differences.
I have three Shopsmith miter gauges each with a slightly different miter bar design and with two different types of nylon glide screws. (These are in addition to any steel set screws that may have been installed for holding stop bars, or allen keys, etc.) Here is a photo of the two designs side by side. Note that the miter metal castings are different in addition to the differences in the nylon glides themselves. Therefore the glides are not interchangable. There must be two different part numbers.
