First let me say that the box is beautiful!!

When projects are posted it usually brings back a flood of memories for me. As a teen, I was indentured (at least I felt that way) by my Dad to a friend of his who had a wood working company. Most everything he built was in oak which we got from the Sacrmento area.
One day we were sent to the railroad station to pick up some maple from the east.
Back at the shop we took the wrapping off and I wondered what the fuss was all about. :confused:
The next week my boss started on his project, a chest of drawers special order. Nearly two weeks later he was putting the finish on what he called tiger maple. I was in awe. I had never seen such a beautiful wood in my life!!! :p It became my favorite wood. Yes blasphemy from a Montana boy! :eek:
