Only comment I would add is that when attempting to create a miter with a known 'inner' dimension, measure from the inside corner to the opposite inside corner. Including anything else into the procedure defeats the KISS principle and increases the possibility of error.

i.e. measure what matters ONLY!

This is like being in school again. I have learned so much from you all. I really appreciate it all. I was afraid to ask thinking this is a stupid question that I could probable find on-line.

I did look on-line but I need help with "dumbing it down" for me to grasp the process.

You all did it for me.

There are NO DUMB QUESTIONS when it comes to working with this equipment. If something feels wrong don't do it and ask. Not doing so when you feel unconfortable is a good way to "get hurt". Believe me, I know.

Glad it helped, this a two way street, because even though I have had a SS for years I never knew about the SS miterset until your thread...lol...bought one yesterday should be here next week,ya in my old age I tend to pull the trigger on stuff I don't really need much faster....new toy and all...lol... The more I read about it, the more interesting it got, couldn't resist, so Thank you for bring it up...lol...didn't get the set, just the segmented tool, the idea of just setting my gauge for the number of sides and NOT having to do any math...genius

Yes, that is what I thought also - no math! I purchased both sets but have not used the segmented set yet as that would be another question on how to gauge the inner circle to make a frame. I will wait for you to make some awesome segmented frames then learn from you!
