Making lots of things. Finished a box for Laura's cookie press the other day. Experimenting with making cabinets using solid wood floating panels like plywood. Seems to be working great, lots of work, but that is why I have a Shopsmith(s) LOL.
How are thing with you. Petty cold over there I assume...

Yep, cold and windy. Supposed to get into the 60s in a few days. But, I've heard that before, too. 
Working on a 48" long, coffee table "River Table". A huge live edge mesquite slab. Cut it down the middle and turned the live edges in towards each other. That irregular slot...10" wide in one spot... will get blue glass. Lots of cracks and voids in mesquite, to be filled with epoxy and turquoise. More fun. That's what it's all about, right.

Mesquite comes from a place in Casa Grande. Between Phoenix and Tucson. He has pistachio and pecan, too.

About an hour ago I poured vinegar on some 0000 steel wool to make the solution to ebonize some red oak.
Did you make your solution the same?

When we get settled in the new house (one of these days in the future), I just might attempt to do something similar but for a Springfield M1 Garand.
