EDIT: I just looked at what is included in a self-install upgrade kit, and I think I now see your delimma. The short video does not specifically mention a switch as being included, but it sure looks like a toggle switch in the picture. I will have to defer to someone with first hand experience.

Just a curious anomaly in the upgrade photo.... Zoom the picture to examine the splines on the quill. I have always found it odd they didn't use a photo of the poly-v version of the assembly and actually used an old Gilmer drive quill assembly in the photo for what's in the Power Pro upgrade.

Where is that upgrade photo located? I have not noticed a gilmer quill in any upgrade pix that I have seen.

As for the A/B/C headstock/switch concern, AIUI you will be asked which you have so the proper switch is included. However I seem to recall recently
that they are including BOTH in the DIY upgrade.

Yes, that is very "possible" but it is also possible that the quills were at some time black oxidized.

The proliferation of black oxidizing steel parts as rust prevention is a SS Inc. induced procedure. Other than screws etc. Magna et al and Yuba did not do so. I do not think anyone else produced Gilmer quills.

I believe the photo is suspect as to what is pictured.

P.S. Regardless one would think a version specific two bearing quill would have been provided to the photographer.
