Methinks having a model 10 nearby while reassembling a M5/500 could lead to incorrect assembling of the M5/500 table.

Besides the 10ER I was reassembling I have a 10E (S/N 1077) and a 10ER (S/N R64000) restored that I have kept. Having those near my reassembly of the just restored 10ER didn't keep me from starting to put the Table Bracket/rear trunnion upside down. My 10E and 10ER were both comfortably resting under their canvas Shopsmith covers. I didn't look at them at all during the reassembly. I do usually have an exploded parts diagram handy for reference nearby. Even that requires having different ones available for the differences in the Model 10 throughout there production. I currently have 2 other Model 10E's to restore. Will I start to put the Table Bracket upside down? Maybe since it looks like it should go that way but I will, of course, correct it.

Well...got back to my ""summer shop" last week with Russ Chapman's info on correct assembly of the table bracket and...voila! ...the table became level in its drill press orientation. Thanks again, Russ. Now to start a post regarding bearing replacement on the quill. I've watched a YouTube video umpteen times and can't seem to get my quill out of the headstock.
