If your band saw uses the same trunnions (515013), you might want to consider incorporating the trunnion supports into yours. A quick call to customer service (1-800-543-7586) will tell you whether or not this is possible.

I'm thinking that the trunnion supports might be some sort of upgrade. Some additional hardware would be required but it might be worthwhile. Timing is right with the parts sale going on.

Dusty - thanks for the pictures, I think that helps solve the mystery. Looking between the current parts diagram on the SS site and the one I have from my 82 Owner's Manual, the trunnions and bushings are the same. However, it appears SS upgraded and took off the "wing bolts" and replaced with hex bolts and the trunnion supports on each side. Shame they are plastic, as your picture shows what will happen if over-torqued. In my shopping cart on the SS site is a pair of these supports - two for $5.32 instead too bad.

I will have the same (and maybe some more) added to my cart today. I have removed the table from my bandsaw and have found that my trunnion supports are also damaged. As you have said, probably from over tightening.

I better check the other bandsaw before I place this order. I would be ticked if I did not and found that I need two pair and have to pay extra shipping.

I have ordered repair parts again. Some for now just in case I need them. Well, some of what I ordered are not repair parts. They are items I want in the shop just in case I need them - like t-nuts.
