You might want to read this thread before you start. It speaks to the fact that some trunnions are drilled differently than others. As you read through the thread you will find that some left them as they were while others drilled them out. I would leave them as they are until you have trouble aligning the table square to the blade. If you don't have a problem there is little need to fix it. I am slowly learning this.

This is normal: For some operations the handle is best on the side with the speed dial, and for others, like when in drill press mode, it is best on the "back" side.

Thanks all for the comments.. I was able to spend some time looking things over and more importantly taking things apart and found that I do in fact have the rear trunnion with the smaller hole size per the thread that Dusty mentioned a few posts above.. In my case I'm not sure if it's going to cause problems but I'm tempted to solve this problem now instead of waiting to see if it's going to cause me grief later. Below are a few pics I took this evening..
First one is a pic of the two trunnions side by side with the rear trunnion on the left (with the smaller holes):

As long as you have a trunnion with larger holes, YOU DO NOT HAVE THE PROBLEM discussed in that thread.
The problem only occurs, if at all, in units with no enlarged holes. The single enlarged hole would be the one used during the table alignment (the hole with the one bolt that is left only slightly loose while the other three are totally free). It provides a pivot point around which to align the table to the blade.
Let me repeat - there are several members of this forum who have checked and found that their trunnions are all drilled with the smaller hole and they have NO PROBLEM aligning the table.

Rick; I would not bother to drill out the holes unless you are having difficulties getting the table aligned square to the blade. If you get it square you can't get it better. Tighten down the bolts and forget about the fact that the holes in one trunnion are smalled than the others.
If you read the thread I referenced you know there are seasoned users who have no problem with alignment and have never had their trunnions off. They did not know that both of their trunnions were identical.
BTW Nice pictures and Mark V. Would like to see more.

Thanks Dusty.. I did read the thread you mentioned and noticed that some poeple had their machines for numerous years before discovering this issue.. I'll do as you suggest and if it becomes a problem for alignment then do it.
As for the pics, I figured they might help someone in the future that might not be following things like I was..

Not to beat a dead horse but as you know I like you drilled out the hole. However after much thought I seem to recall SS saying to only loosen the bolt in the that hole very slightly as it was the piviot hole.
I suspect it wasn't drilled as large as the other holes on purpose to act as a referrence point. If you think about it being able to move the other three holes should allow you align the table. UNLESS the tolerance is off then you might have to enlarge the referrence hole.
I suspect the original engineering specified the rear trunion to be drilled with the small hole. And I further guess the logic that made that decision got lost when the engineer moved on. I can not believe the were manufactured wrong unintentionally.

Yes, Ed, you are probably correct. Nick and I think Rick both recommend leaving the left, rear trunnion bolt firm enough to keep the table from moving freely while loosening the other three for adjustment.
Further assumptions bring me to the conclusion that the error in the factory occurred at the time the rear trunnion was equipped with the spricg loaded stop pin. The front and rear trunnions are identical except for that pin (and the difference in hole size - if that is important).
Would it not be comical to learn that brand new Mark Vs have trunnions with identical small hole sizes.
As a manufacturing engineer, I would have to ask "Why can I not have all trunnions made with the large hole making that piece part interchangeable"?
