I found the PDF in this old thread in the link below.
It's in the 2nd response.
I tried to post it but my Computer would not let me.
It wants me to pay for stuff.

Below is the PDF Ed (reible) posted back in 2012 from the link GetterDone posted above.

I fear if any exist out there they may be broken down into parts by now and sold that way.
Only one included with a complete Model 10 for sale may be the most likely way to find it. Out of the 27 Model 10's I have owned/own and all the ones I have seen I have not seen the Lathe Extension. Something else to be on the lookout for now besides the elusive Lower Belt Guard.

Dwayne,
Since you now have 1 Model 10E and 3 Model 10ER Shopsmith's you may start to notice some differences in the parts. The biggest changes were in the Headstock Casting itself which has 7 different versions and the most changes of all the parts. These are sometimes very small changes but changes none the less. A major change occurred for the Model 10ER in April 1951 with the change from Double Wedge Locks on the Headstock and the Carriage to Single Wedge Locks. It is the changes made throughout the production of the Model 10's that owners have to be careful to make sure that when parts are needed that they get ones that are compatible. There are parts that did not change throughout the Model 10 production like the Arm for the Base end of the Bench. Some changes are harder to see like the Way Tubes changing to a thinner wall tube near the end of production. Those are the same Way Tubes used for the Mark 5 when it was introduced in 1954.
Out of the 11 Model 10E and 15 Model 10ER Shopsmith's I have owned/own the serial numbers range from 1033 to 101291. Some with the "R" serial number prefix but none with the "E" or "ER" prefixes. Serial number 1033 is from the first ones made in 1947 and 101291 was made near the end of the Model 10ER production in 1953.
In your pictures 3, 4, 6 and 7 there are knobs in strange places.
Pictures 3 & 6 have the Carriage with a knob (in pic 3) in the hole on top of the Carriage which that threaded hole is for the Table Riser Crank and pic 6 has a knob used for the lock.
Picture 7 has a knob being used for the Way Tube Lock on the Headstock and pic 4 has what looks like the rear lock knob for the Rip Fence in the hole for the Belt Cover bolt.
All very odd since those Knobs in incorrect places. In pictures 3 & 4 they are not at all functional there but the Knobs used for locks in pictures 6 & 7 may work as Way Tube Locks for the headstock and Carriage.

Russ
I am starting too notice some differences.
The 10E I have is E-3868 and the 2nd one I bought is ER26854 the 3rd one I have yet to see, as one of my friend's has it in storage a few hours away from me. And as pictured this one is ER21120.
This one came with no motor.
I have been looking thru the link you sent me in the other thread with all the differences in the castings and parts.
I have been studying these randomly placed knobs
The knob in the Headstock and one of the knobs on the carriage are huge compared to the other machines I have bought.
Since this will probably be the parts machine.
I will replace the ones missing on the others.
I will compare to your pictures of yours that you have restored.

Out of the serial numbers you list for three of your Model 10's you should have Headstock versions 2 and 3 maybe even 4. E-3868 should have a Wood Extension Table originally while the other two should have come with metal Extension Tables. E-3868 would have Tailstock version 2 and the other two have version 3 out of the 4 versions.
The Knobs used on the Model 10's changed over the years too. I can't identify where the knobs used for the Headstock and Carriage Way Tube Locks came from. They may not even be and likely are not Shopsmith Knobs.

Thanks for this info.
The E-3868 does have what appears to be the original Extension table.
The others do have metal tables.
I will pay close attention to the headstocks to see the differences.
I will also check out the tailstocks for the differences.
And from your pictures in the thread (What When and Where),
I will compare the table brackets.
I do remember the Wing nuts on one the tables.
I have noticed that they all have solid table post.
Those big knobs don't look like the others.
I didn't measure them, I think they are well over 2.5" in diameter.

We have gone a little off topic here, but I am going to add one more off topic post. The Model 10E below is very similar to the one you have S/N E-3868 that I restored and is complete plus a bench, the Jointer/Shaper Fence and the Jig Saw.

The Model 10E below is similar to the other two Model 10's you listed. It is one I restored that also includes a Bench.

These are ones that I have the best pictures of that are close to your Model 10's.

Thanks Russ
That helps A Lot.
My Local steel supplier did not have the DOM tubes the correct size.
McMaster Carr has them.
If I go with 0.125 wall thickness tube it will be about $90.oo.
If I go with 0.187 wall thickness tube it will be about $229.oo
So I am seriously debating on cutting the way tubes on this 10ER I just bought without the motor.
I can have a lathe extension for both the 10E and the 10ER I plan to keep.
Or I could settle for the 0.125 tube from McMaster Carr.

Making the Lathe Extension yourself will be much quicker than waiting to find one since I have yet to see one with a Model 10 or on its own for sale.
