Good-looking system, Jim!

The workstool is a great addition as well. I find myself using my stool more and more often, at the workbench, OPR, drill-press, and sometimes even the lathe mode.

P.S. Is that OPR "520" table dedicated to the OPR stand, or do you use it on other Shopsmiths too? Just wondering if you had any special reason to use the "Cadillac of tables" for the OPR.

nuhobby,

Thanks for the compliment. I looked at several used Shopsmith Mark V's most of which were farther gone than I desired to restore. One of the decisions I made early on related to my Shopsmith/Incra TS III and OPR both being set up for use on the 520 table This decision required I purchase additional units set up the same way. With this particular unit I purchased used parts including a used 520 table and used all of them to build the base and the table as you see them. All stand and table parts used were found and renovated by Bill Mayo. The stool actually two of them I purchased a couple of years ago at an estate sale. Would you believe $10 each. With my knee and foot issues the stools are worth their weight in gold. Incidentally the OPR is the newest version and purchased new from Shopsmith when they first introduced it. Not shown is a sliding table built after watching Nick Engler/Shopsmith sawdust sessions. Now I actually get to learn how to use it. I truly feel blessed to have found Shopsmith and this discussion group. This combination and the good friends I have met here, people like Bill Mayo are helping me make my shop all I ever dreamed possible.:):) Jim

Gosh Chuck I received an email from Shopsmith and actually figured you had something to do with it. Thank you for the belated birthday wish. Come to think of it this was my birthday gift to myself. Jim
