Sir these are super nice.
How did you darken the grooves? might be a dumb question..

I made a small groove with a skew chisel and then I used a piece of wire with the piece spinning to burn the groove in. I did this before I applied the finish.

My guess is burned with some steel wire. That's how I make black rings.
