You are right, Jeff. Wax paper will normally pull off or use a sharp chisel and remove the paper and some of the excess glue. The paper keeps it off the jig.

Thanks for all your compliments. This butterfly box was from some blocks used to bring in radiology equipment to a local hospital. After looking at one of the sawdust sessions I decided that I could do something elementary. The little girl is enjoying it. Have more to do. Thanks again for all your support.
