I gave one of the 1 1/4 inch arbors to my father-in-law, who works at a plant making auto parts, and he said he would make one for 30mm blades, so we'll see how it turns out.
Yet folks can punch the holes. They are not so hard that they cannot be enlarged by some 'sharpeners'.
IMHO the adapter washers(30 mm to 5/8") is a good way to adapt.
30mm Saw Blade Arbor

He brought it today. He and one of his coworkers made it during the night shift (when it is apparently acceptable for the workers to do sometimes their own projects). He said it took a total of three hours work. At first glance, the main way I distinguished the two is that the new one is shiny, though also the nut is a bit different. Other than the threads and the diameter for the blade to go every dimension is identical to the original. And all I owe his coworker is a bottle of wine. :-)
Now, having a 30mm arbor, I need to order a 30mm blade. :-)
