___---___--- I may have removed the rails, but yes, SS has the old stuff, whatever it be. I got the phone call saying a new table is on its way only a couply days after I mailed it! Their decision time upon viewing the item in question must have been measured in milliseconds.JPG40504 wrote:Belay the safe mode. Do not fear! I shall jog yer noggin.
You were 'attempting' to use a new table with new 510 rail and old 510 rails on the aux tables. When 'upgrading' to 520 you replaced all the rails etc.
___---___--- I thin that's about the gist of it. ___---___---
Funky tables????:D
___---___--- Da Funkiest! T'was the apron boss thing that really blew my mind.___---___---
P.S. IIUC SS has yer original old 510 table and rail.
Btw, (not to add on er nuttin) the video of the steel straightedge spinning freely on the Main table surface was of the New table. That would not have worked on the old table. In fact, it was so bad I think I coulda placed a hole bag of marbles on the old one and in a second or two they would all have gathered in the center of the table.
I suspect when that table was made, as it emerged from the oven (furnace, whatever), still hot and malleable, it was accidentally dropped to the factory floor, 80 feet below. By the time it was finished bouncing it was probably cooled off so they just threw it onto the "Done" pile.
It was an impressive piece of workmanship, I must say. (Glad to know it was manufactured (uh, manufractured) outside SS!)
