I haven't been online with the forum in a while because I have been working on a Tontine cabinet for the 119th Fighter Wing WSOs (Weapon Systems Officers/Navigators). I was a member of this Wing during my military career. I will post more pictures when it is done, but what caught my eye was this discussion on molding on the SS. I cut the crown molding on the cabinet on my SS using both a Craftsmen molding head and knives and a SS molding head on my Mark 5. I had no problems and find it safe. One key is to take light cuts. Furthermore, I am working in Red Oak, not the most friendly material to mold. I have both a stand alone wood shaper, molders, routers and hand planes (molders). They all have their place.

No way. Just busy this fall and some travel. Thanks, this project has been challenging and fun.

Oh, and you are right. Getting used to the new software. Go away for a short time and everything changes! Serves me right.
