Just another mini-step after work today....

I almost outsmarted myself in assembly sequence. As you can see, I had to wedge in a screwdriver and "hand drive" some screws for a magnet mount... I had not pre-drilled! FYI, on the door, it was resawn & bookmatched Kentucky Coffeetree wood. I was a little paranoid about the glue joint so I added the miniature brace laterally across the back of the door:

Being a bit of a "Gerstner chest fanboy", I ordered some nickel-plated pulls from Gerstner for the door and the drawers. Until they come in, functional checks are done with green tape!

All right! I was so excited to get my heavy nickel knobs from Gerstner (on a horse & wagon taking 4 days from Dayton to Indy), I didn't even wipe off the thumb-prints I left:

It came out OK! My wife is saying she's jealous of my niece now.
