It appears this is being addressed so I suspect we'll hear something soon.

Correct. Here is a pic of the clamp we need. Also, no fence. Fence or pins, still need the clamp.

I sure never saw that bar or clamp but then I never did order the speed increaser parts. I have the shield and the bar with t-nut and then the 520 version of the fence kit but they did not come with the extra part in question.

If the "bar" comes with the clamp then I'd have to guess that it might be more expensive then I want to go to add it. I can make a bar and just use a C-clamp, well unless it is really a good deal price wise.

Is there anyone reading this that has the speed increaser with this part that could take a picture of it and perhaps give us some dimensions?

The online catalog would leave one to believe that the hardware required to mount the Shaper/Router Guard is part of the kit.

I have the Shield and the threaded post upon which it mounts but they came to me as part of the Free Standing Router Table 555414 (back in 1990). No clamp. I believe the clamp came into being as an adaptation for over/under routing on the Mark V Main Table.

I think what we are finding is that the only place that bit of hardware exists is with the speed increaser, see it here:

http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/cata ... reaser.htm

You can see it in the picture but it is not called out for in the description.

I ordered the router guard shown as "A" here:

http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/cata ... sories.htm

And it did not come with or even hinted at the extra part shown in the previous link.

If it had not been for a discussion about the part I would have not even been aware of its existence. It makes since that the part exists but it is unclear as to how one gets it without having to order the speed increaser.

We overlooked the clamp/hardware when creating the MARK 7 starter package and will be correcting that omission. We are also in the process of identifying which customers were affected by this problem.

For those who had previously owned the fence and then purchased the Double-Tilt upgrade, we will create an item number to allow the clamp/hardware to be ordered.

I can't take credit for this one. They were aware and had already solved it, before I got the question asked.
