Looks like Dick also was correct. Look how high they made the trousers back then.

Are you trying to insinuate that Nick (and I) are height challenged?dusty wrote:

May be because you did not "Shock and Eye Theme"' with there project.BuckeyeDennis wrote:What I want to know is, why can't our wives be thrilled when we purchase a new machine these days, the way they were back in the 1950's?
I did not mean to insinuate anything. I was trying to say that Nick is short. Even I am taller than Nick. My Main Table when setup to cut 3/4" lumber hits me at about stomach level. I would like for it to me about waist level.skou wrote:Are you trying to insinuate that Nick (and I) are height challenged?dusty wrote:

One more thing. I LIKE a Model 10 to be at least 4 inches higher, maybe 6,
for lathe work. I prefer the spindle height to be the same as my elbow height.

You are oh so practical!charlese wrote:Being one of those "stomach level" guys myself, I'm happy with that because never had anything else.
One thing I learned a long time ago is; I don't have to duck as much as taller guys when walking in dense woodsCould even go under some downfall rather than trying to go over them.
