I saw that "cast iron" reference. Of course at least most of the imported clones I ever saw had cast iron tables and it is possible that there are a number of Shopsmith 500's out there with cast iron clone tables on them.

The clone cast iron table will have a different size miter gauge slot. It is the same size as the table saws use. I have 2 of the Total Shop tables left. I would be happy to donate one to anyone stopping by my shop, no shipping. I have one of the Total Shop tables with 1/3 of the table cut off mounted on my drilling/tapping/milling Shopsmith.

Boy, do I ever wish I was close enough to "drop by".
