I got it yesterday about 9 am, I love FedEx, had the 12ft hose with regulator with the quick disconnect fitting to the heater, so many combos on that, could just a hose with the tank and fitting that screws into where the bottles go and use those regulators, with a skunk oil filter cheaper, ect.New full 20lb/5 gallon tank.
Not chilly here but to see if it works so lit the candle and powdered up the fan with batteries, it will do the job, AC/DC converter for the fan should be here in a few days.
Yes I would love to have a small cast iron wood stove instead, me being a romantic, but not practical here. Heck up in Atown I have a pellet stove in the lower level, sooo much easier, but no snap, crackle, pop!!! Living room does have a natural wood fire place though.

Cool and dry here tonight, with the windows and the overhead door open, 65* in the garage/shop, in T shirt and shorts, closed the overhead down to 2" and windows to a crack. Fired up the Mr Heater Big Buddy on low, just testing and the fan on in it, still battery operated, AC/DC is on the way. Getting toasty in here. Now I know it is not howling out there and 15* but I love it about 64*, that is what I keep my house at at home, yes, Blasphemy, the Mom word, likes it at 74* Spoiled and wore shorts in the house here last winter.
My basement shop at home about 60*. So if it will keep the garage/shop around
60* a fat pig in the trouf.

@ Roy, I have had the Big Buddy now a week, some chili nights in the garage, 20lb tank and 12ft hose, window open about 2", garage door open about an inch, on low nice, no wind though. Just playing with it, toasty in here, 72*, and turned off for a bit. I think it will do the job and a good choice. When not in use, I put the bag in came in over it after it cools, no dust, or pilot light issues so far.

Great, glad it looks promising for you. Hopefully it can take enough of the cold off for you in the winter to get out and do some stuff.

Some cool nights here I have been playing with my Mr Big Buddy heater here in the garage/shop low is 4k BTUs, medium is 9K BTUs high is 18K BTUs, nice on low, but noticed as previously beat/beet to death here/hear about H2O content on fossil fuel. I notice a nice humidity level in here/hear when I have it on. Not a dry heat/hete/heet. 1 gallon H2O per 100K BTUs.
Only vaiper trail in here/hear is mine to refresh the Knight/night cap.
Oh BTW Skou, guess what, I hope it felt good for you

Follow up, down to 50*F outside, I left the overhead open till it got to 55*F in the garage, I closed the door and I have a window open about an 3/4" X 36",
on low, in 30 minutes to 60*F, an other 30ish to 64*F. It is still windy out.
I am sure it will do fine for the winter, and the humisat on the Sharp weather station went from 46% to 44%, odd, with the moisture it puts out, but the outside infiltrating may be even drier and doing that.
I am happy with its heat output, now if I have pilot light issues in the future only time will tell.

47* out, Mr heater on low, 4K BTUs 67* in the garage/shop, in short sleeves, with the window cracked open. A few times too warm, just turned it to pilot light, an hour later, 63*, went to low and comfy 67*!!!

Nasty WI night, 57*, windy off Lake Michigan, cold rain, but Mr Big Buddy Heater is on low, 4K BTUs goes up to 18K BTUs, and 69* in the garage shop with a north window open a bit. Short sleeves out here!!!!
I am very happy with it. I bought a filled new 20lb bottle for it, and went through it faster then there specs, then I realized they cheat on the fill, all tanks have a Tare weight on the tank empty and then add the 20lb/5 gallons of LP, my butt, it was a short fill. I dont have a scale to weigh it on. Most refill for you locally only put in 18lbs, for expansion. I will monitor times and usage on a locally refilled tank and report in.
I think I described dads garage in an early post, 24x 26+ attached to the house so that wall is insulated, South, the overhead door, (west) is about 1/ 1/4" material, not some cheap aluminum one, back wall(east) is R11 insulated with a window, north wall with a window is not insulated, 8ft dry walled ceiling with R23 or 32 rating above. Mr Big Buddy Heater sez good for 400 sg ft, this is 624, but they dont qualify insulation or outside temp differential.

As discussed in an other thread here about non vented fossil fuel in an enclosed area, 1 gallon of H2O per 100K of BTUs output.
If using the Mr Buddy non vented Propane heater to take the chill out, I notice the humidity goes up and my weather station enforces that.
I wanted to get a fan/electric space heater in here also, with a thermostat and dual wattage setting. I picked that up today. I have some Milk House heaters that fill that description in ATown, but I bought this one to try from Fleet Farm. It is working nicely on the 1250 watts, dry air, and in short sleeves and 68* in here. Air is dry, compared to the propane.

Ya yes, wood love a small wood burner, but 52* out and dry, electric on 1250W and comfy at 67* in here for the last 3 hours and not the propane humidity. I am liken it, both when it is below 32* in a few months.
