Yes it is, but a bit too glossy for the piece IMHO.

Ya can never have too much bling by the way..

The drawers were hand cut half blind dove tails

I wish I had taken pictures of the bed head board and foot and the mirror and vanity that went with it

The lady cried when she picked it up!!


I did that like 6 -7 years ago.

Dont take me wrong, i just think for a period piece of that era, the gloss finish is wrong, and takes away from its original finish and time period it was made originally.

Okay I'm lost on these last 3 post but I should point out that this was a kitchen island and not the Credenza. I'll get back to that eventually. The open space is for a microwave.

I totally agree ,, It was how the lady wanted it ,,,,,, she said when she was a kid it shined like new money and thats what she wanted ,,,,said she wasn't good to wax the thing all the time ,,this was a one owner item,,,,,,well she is gone now and I hear the stuff was tossed away ,...sad what the state does to peoples stuff when they take over ,,,,,, she didnt have a family to pass it down to ,,, I never charged her a dime ,, it was a privilege to even work on some thing like that...,, listen,,, ,I dont want to hijack your thread ,,,,,you are doing a great job here .

Cant wait to see the finished project.
