I used thin CA on the cracks. Figured it would penetrate down to the bottom and prevent growth. Did that on some walnut gavels a few years back - no sign of new cracking.

Besides I had CA, not so epoxy.

Why did you choose a blind bore for the handle, instead of a through-bore? While I admit it looks cooler, you can't get at it to adjust the wedge or drive in a new one in the future, if that is needed.

Sorry JPG that I missed this (I have been having some other health problems ). Great job and like others, I love the handle "tech", cool idea!

I liked the idea of a blind socket and wanted to try my 'luck' in creating it. Also the handle was not turned so as to have sufficient shank for a through fit.

As for future 'fixing', it is simple to bore through from the top to access it. 'Fixing' should only be required if the handle breaks or I did not get the fit right(it gets loose).
