Are they easy on the eyes? Not too white? I am in the market to upgrade.

That's a nice savings on electricity. I also just upgraded my basement to the second set you installed. The single ac side version. About 15 minutes of wiring per unit and I'm back up and running.

I put new 4 foot fixtures in my shop a couple years ago and I think they have the balast with wires coming out of it. If I change these over to LED what do I have to do. Those Led bulbs are much nicer for the light they put out

The ones I am buying are the 6000K or about as white as you can get short of the sun. They have other less white bulbs if that is really what you want.

I'm also getting the ones with out the defuser so the the LED's can be seen, again that is an option that I went with but they have them the other way too.

Perhaps someone who has done it would be a better person to ask but from what I understand it pretty simple. I would think especially easy if you get the single end versions of the tubes. They provide lampholders so it is just a matter of removing the old ones and then rewiring to the new lampholders. Now if you have the ones like I have with integrated lamp holders it is bit more effort.

You may want to pull one down and have a look at what you really have then decide.

There are several versions so it depends on the style you buy. If they are single end powered then basically you cut the ballast out and cut the wires at the far end of the light as the far end tombstones are there just to hold the light in and take no power. On the front end you need to be sure a single hot wire from each tombstone (number dependent on how many bulbs in your shoplight) is wire nutted with the main hot lead coming in. Then the second neutral wire from each tombstone gets wire nutted to the neutral to the main neutral input line.

There are lots of youtube video's showing how to do it. There are also LED retrofit bulbs that allow you to put them right in a regular shop light with ballasts. The down side is they consume more power unless you remove the ballast because they still get powered

How many Lumen? There are a ton of less costly LED fixtures out there but the offer only very low Lumen output.

Box says 4500. I don't know if that is per bulb or the total of the 2 bulbs
