Can I get a cracked table insert repaired?

To repair, I would try attaching an aluminum plate to the underside of the insert with JB Weld.
I did that to repair a broken speed changer and it has worked well.

As for repairing the cracked insert do remember that they are only supported from the ends so any repair must support the location of the repair. Fortunately for you it is only cracked on the one side.

I have never used it .

So...

• I decided to attempt a repair before buying a used or "new" one.

• I decided against brazing because I felt there were too many opportunities for something to go wrong. (I can braze with my MAPP/Oxygen torch, but not weld.)

• I decided against affixing a piece of aluminum with JB Weld because using a very crude test, the flexural yield strength of a 1/8" thick aluminum bar was less than that of a similarly shaped bar of JB SteelStick

• I decided to reinforce the plate with JB SteelStik by first coarsely sanding and scarring the underside of the aluminum plate, wall off both sides of the side of the plate with the crack, and tightly pack the two canals with JB SteelStik.

The repaired plate fits perfectly in its seat.
