I thought that I would try zapping my Ryobi 18V battery that has given up with my 36 Volt golf cart charger...
I wonder what would happen if I hit one with one of my fence chargers? They are pretty low amperage and a very short pulse but read out at around 4,000 Volts.
I wonder if an old Piezo igniter off of a BBQ would zap a battery? You can Google for info.

I have the same problems with my Ryobi 18v holding a charge.
Did you know some models sold from Home Depot are under recall due to the batteries shorting out? A free replacement can be obtained if yours is under the recall.
