The BENCH tubes rest against the end casting(vertically) and should not be affected by the slope on the clamping bar. However the 'rib' will affect the c-c spacing of the bench tubes. FWIW that 'rib' was extended when the bench tubes were changed from 1 7/8" to 1 3/4". My limited observation is that dies were replaced later. Unless the hole locations have changed the tubes should be 'centered'.
The c-c distance of the holes on both castings (end) should be the same(I do not recall the dimension).
