They tell me the spring washer part # 502920 has been replaced with a new part # 120382 which is a split washer O.D..688, I.D. .382 which to me is a 3/8" lock washer. It's possible it may be thinner or thicker than an off the shelf lock washer, but I doubt it. They are supposed to call me back to verify the thickness.
After putting the jointer back together using off the shelf lock washers, it seems to work as it should.
