I am curious if the striatech motor mounts would fit the SS mounting adapter(s). I.E motor mounts the same.
Good question, but will SS sell you the mounting adapters? Probably not.

Ahhh yes, but Rjent already has some! :D

As well as some other hardware.

Some ideals on how the motor mounts will look.

Hey thanks a lot for the video, Ron. Two things really stuck out. The e-stop and the serpentine belt for the motor pulley and idler shaft. What bearing did you use for the idler shaft and how much trouble was it to add the pulley on the idler shaft. I have another post going on idler shaft bearing being really cheap causing the idler shaft to drift which throws the drive shaft belt out of alignment unless one tightens the idler shaft bolts to point of almost breaking the ears. Again thanks for the video going to look deeper into working on another DIY PP.

The video is not mine, and I have little personal experience with the Marks V's. My Greenie rebuild stalled when I got my first 10ER. :)

IIUC he was a 'banker' who lost(?) his job and was for a brief time one of the SS traveling dof and pony show demonstrators. Since then he has been been making videos about SS stuff. More recently is his foray into being a PP conversion competitor.

He drives me up the wall. :D Sorta reminds me of that first this old house guy.

Interesting stuff if you have ever done any work on the PP. I sure like is his ideas with e-stop and serpentine belt for the motor pulley and idler shaft.

Sorry, I don't know his name.

He briefly worked for Shopsmith as a demonstrator a few years ago. Then he started doing these DVR upgrades, but Nova has stopped supplying him with motors.

He was posting on one of the Facebook SS forums, but I can't find any of his posts right now (Facebook search function sucks :( )

I think you are pretty much on your own, I thought the visuals in the video might be helpful to some extent, but you will have to make it up as you go along.

You may also want to join the Facebook "Shopsmith Digital Motor Conversions" group https://www.facebook.com/groups/shopsmithdigital/

Most have been using treadmill motors, but there may be some help in figuring out motor mounts etc. :)
