I saw a video on YouTube where the poster converted his shopsmith 520 to a drill press. It made me tired watching his struggles to make the conversion but eventually he got it done. Not exactly the steps I would have taken to make the conversion, but to each his own. (Might want to turn the sound down unless you appreciate heavy metal music) It made me appreciate this forum and the wealth of information to be had here.

I wonder where he got the idea. I did this 4 or 5 years ago. This is absolutely rock solid.
