Nice setup. I'll do two at a time. I have the floating tables and the extension table rails removed and are soaking in evaporust overnight.

I have a paint straining filter and a funnel under the filter to transfer the fluid,
back and forth from the tube to the 5 gallon bucket then back to the original container after the soaking process.
Then I use the funnel to Fill the next one and pour it in from the original container.
Wash Rinse Repeat.
I am thinking I am only losing an ounce or two with this process.

Sounds good and probably how I'll collect it as well.

The evaporust is reusable, however it will eventually be depleted of the magic.

Cleaned and waxed the extension table and floating tables' tubes after evaporust treatment. I'll be using the evaporust for the bench and way tubes sometime this week. It's coming along. Also, the SS didn't come with the sanding disk, drill chuck, drive center nor the adjustable legs. I'll be picking those up as I go along. I'm hoping the sellers find some of it and let me know. I know it has all these as well as a dust collector. I have the manual and checkoff list for it and I got sandpaper for the disk.

As you look for replacement items as needed, the Sanding Disk for all the Mark V models except the Mark 5 with the original Table System AKA Mark V 500 need to be the steel Sanding Disk with the longer Hub to be able to use it with the Lower Saw Blade Guard for dust collection. The Mark 5/V 500 can use the Steel Sanding Disk with the original shorter Hub and the Aluminum Sanding Disks. Using those Sanding Disks, although possible, with the other Mark models means you cannot use the Lower Saw Blade Guard for dust collection.
The Drill Chuck and Lathe Drive Center are pretty much the same for all Shopsmith 5 in 1 tools (Model 10's, Mark 5/V all models, Mark 2 & Mark 4) as well as the current Mark 7 and Mark VII from the 1960's.

Re the drill chuck - degree of desirability - top of list a Jacobs 3326 from a 10E - next a Jacobs master craft from the greenie/goldie/MarkVII era - last the current unbranded SS version. JMHO

Thank you gentlemen for your help. I was looking at a 3326 earlier today. I think I might get it and the correct disk.

There were three versions of the Jacobs 3326 Drill Chuck. The difference between them is the set screw. The first for the Model 10's had a 3/8" set screw needing a 3/16" Allen Wrench. When the Mark 5 came out in 1954 the second version had a special 3/8" set screw using a 5/32" Allen Wrench, the Shopsmith Toolbox. That soon changed to the third version using a 5/16" set screw using the 5/32" Allen Wrench. Versions 1 and 2 only differ in the set screw.
stihlsawer,
For you I would suggest the third version of the Jacobs 3326 Drill Chuck so you don't need a separate Allen Wrench. The version 2 is not easily found and harder to find a replacement "special" set screw for it. Look for one that is in good condition. A rusty one although it may be only surface rust could have unseen rust pitting inside making it unusable. I have one like that, that came with a Shopsmith I purchased to restore. Outside it looks fine but inside there is deep pitting on the jaws and main casting.

Thank you Russ for pointing this out. I had no idea.
