Cory, two quick questions. How difficult is it to lift those pieces out of their storage holes high up if you have a bad back or are just plain old

Also, the unit looks like it might be a little top heavy. If you hit a crack or something while rolling it does it tend to want to topple over?

Great piece of work, something for me to aspire to emulate.

Cory: Thanks for the pictures and the inspiration. You have done an amazing job of utilizing the space in the trailer. Your storage facility for the SPT explains why.

Fred,
You really need to roll the unit away from the wall and get behind to get to the jig saw. I usually lift it from the front, but I'm fairly tall and have a good back (so far). ;) The strip sander is at the end and is easy to access.

Good question about the stability. I didn't even think about it being tippy, so just went out and checked. I tried to lift the front off the ground and tip it backwards. It wouldn't budge, so don't think it a concern.

I was inspired by this thread so when a friend of mine gave me a bunch of scrap MDF from some shelving he had dismantled, I added it to other material I had laying around and this is what I came up with. It rolls nicely under the SS when it is stored away.

Something like that could double as an assembly table in shops with limited space... Image
