I see the end cap casting in Danscot's pix has a shape the resembles an oil hole tunnel. The pix does not show the 'outside' of the casting so I do not know if one is there. I would almost 'bet' that there is!
Using heavy grease with a bushing bearing just is counter to my experience.

There is no outside way to oil this Emerson motor. I like to think grease is just very heavy oil. I would believe when heated when operating, the grease will somewhat ooze into the bushing/shaft space and provide some cooling effect for the bushing. Just my opinion.

No oil hole
Although I must admit that I thought it might be too - until I turned it over (don't laugh, it had been sitting that way up for about a week & my memory is not what it was!).
During that week I had scratched my head & trawled the web looking for info - I found something about feeding oil into bushings through oil holes...
It's now well past midnight here so tomorrow I'll check what the grease spec is & post that if it's of interest.

Hmmmmm That looks just like the end cap(the 'no oil hole' part) on an Emerson planer motor that the tag states has ball bearings.

OK, this takes us back to the original thread title - although I'm not sure if this is the "correct grease" but it seems to be working for me:
It's a UK product by Castrol: "LM Grease (High Melting Point)"
Unfortunately it doesn't carry any spec code, just a description which may be useful in finding an equivalent:
"A multi-purpose high melting point lithium based grease suitable for most automotive applications, including chassis & wheel bearing lubrication"
I used it because it's been kicking about my garage for years & I had nothing else handy!
