To end the confusion here, when I sent in my PowerPro for repair, I asked for a loaner and they sent one with no hesitation. All available loaners are the older style floating sheave models. This is no problem for someone who wants to get a project finished. I think you have to ask for a loaner, rather than they will shop one automatically. To get one it only takes "Please send me a loaner" There will be no more discussion and the loaner will arrive in shipping time of several days.
I hasitate to say they OWE you one! The nest ime I sent the PowerPro in for repair, I didn't need or want a loaner. If I would have gotten one, it would have been shipped right back.
Needless to say - all of the shipping cost are paid by Shopsmith. Their service is GREAT!
I repeat

The first service rep told me no but when I got back in touch with the original service rep she said they would send a loaner if they had one. I told her not to bother as I had made other arrangements for completing my project.

Received the new shaft for the upper BS wheel and installed. It appears to have solved the problem, won't know for sure to motor gets back from SS.

A whisper from experience - - It seems like an extremely long wait for "the box", "the fix", the return, the re-install, but after that's past, - - euphoria
All frustrations are soon forgotten (almost):D
Hang in there!:) Pretty soon it'll all be GOOD!:D
Glad you found your fix for the bandsaw!

It took 3 days to get here from initial sending date so using that logic (ha) they should get it tomorrow. We'll see, you can bet I'll be on the phone being a pain in the place where the sun don't shine.
A-ok
